News: Teen driver pleads guilty to fatal Fairwood crash

FAIRWOOD, WA – According to FOX 13, a 19-year-old man pleaded guilty to a deadly crash that killed a woman and three children at Southeast 192nd Street and 140th Avenue Southeast on March 19, 2024.

Chase Jones was driving at 112 mph when he slammed into a car operated by Andrea Huston as she was picking up children from a school event.

Hudson, a 12-year-old boy, and a 13-year-old girl died in the crash. First responders transported two other children to an area hospital.

Authorities charged Jones with four counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of vehicular assault.

Jones is facing a minimum sentence of 17.5 years in prison and could serve life in prison. His sentencing hearing will be on April 25.
