SUMMIT VIEW, WA – According to KOMO News, a driver struck two construction workers at 144th Street East and Canyon Road East Friday afternoon.
The driver struck a 51-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman around 1 p.m. The collision threw both workers 10-20 feet.
First responders transported both victims to area hospitals with serious injuries.
Authorities cited the driver with negligent driving. The driver claimed another driver hit him, and he overcompensated and hit the two workers.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision.
