BELLINGHAM, WA – A motorcyclist died in a crash at I-5 and Northwest Ave on Thursday, according to KIRO 7.
A 20-year-old man was riding a motorcycle north on I-5 when he failed to negotiate a curve, strayed off the road, and slammed into a barrier on the left shoulder around 12:30 a.m. He was ejected off the motorcycle and landed on I-5.
First responders transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital, where he died.
Crews shut down the area to process the scene following the collision. It was reopened around 6 a.m.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating the collision.
