KITSAP COUNTY, WA – According to KIRO 7, a 19-year-old man was arrested after causing a crash that injured his 21-year-old passenger at NE Gunderson Rd and Miller Bay Rd E on Saturday.
The 19-year-old driver was speeding at around 80 mph in a 40 mph zone when he failed to negotiate a curve and crashed around 4:30 a.m.
Emergency crews extricated the driver’s passenger and transported him to an area hospital.
Authorities determined the 19-year-old driver was impaired and arrested him for vehicular assault. He was found to have a BAC of .199.
