News: Man hurt following suspected DUI crash in Kitsap County

PORT ORCHARD, WA – According to KOMO, a suspected impaired driver was injured after he crashed into a tree and came to rest in a ditch at Dogwood Rd SE and SE Lake Rd on Thursday.

A 36-year-old man was driving a 2000 Toyota Avalon when he slammed into a tree around 1 a.m. The Avalon then came to rest in a ditch.

First responders found the driver lying on the road and transported him to an area hospital. Authorities obtained a warrant for a blood test before the driver went into surgery.

The Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney’s office will determine what charges the driver will face based on evidence provided by the sheriff’s office.
