PARKLAND, WA – An elderly man died after he slammed into a pole in the parking lot of the Parkland Ace Hardware located at 105 112th St S on Tuesday, according to FOX 13.
The 76-year-old man was driving at high speeds east on 112th St S when he strayed across the westbound lanes before plowing into a pole around 10:47 a.m.
First responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
