PUYALLUP, WA – A driver struck and killed a mother on S Meridian between 23rd Ave SE and 27th Ave SE on Saturday, according to KIRO 7.
A 26-year-old woman was driving with her kids when she had car trouble and pulled into a parking lot. She was flagging down a car when a driver struck her around 11 p.m.
First responders transported the woman to an area hospital, where she died around 2:39 a.m. the next day.
Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene and contacted 911.
Authorities determined the driver was not impaired. They ticketed him for driving without a valid license and not having proof of insurance.
