COVINGTON, WA – The man who allegedly caused a wreck that killed a toddler and injured a mother on WA 18 near SE 256th St on Oct. 21 pleaded not guilty to his charges in court on Wednesday, according to FOX 13.
Alexis Andaluz-Lozano, 19, was allegedly heading west on WA 18 when he crossed over into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with another vehicle.
A 21-month-old baby died in the crash. The baby’s mother was seriously injured.
Authorities beloved Andaluz-Lozano displayed signs of impairment and that there were marijuana products inside his car. They charged him with vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.
Two days after his arrest, Andaluz-Lozano posted bail. He is currently under house arrest.
