News: Alleged impaired driver fatally collides with another vehicle in Fircrest

FIRCREST, WA – According to The News Tribune, a suspected impaired driver fatally collided with another vehicle at Emerson St and Alameda Ave on Nov. 18.

A 50-year-old man allegedly run a red light at high speeds before hitting a Honda Civic driven by Matthew Nguyen, 19.

Nguyen died in the crash. His 15-year-old sister was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities charged the 50-year-old man with DUI vehicular homicide. He is being held at the Pierce County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
