SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA – Five people, including three deputies, were hurt when a police chase ended in a crash on the 14200 block of US 2 on Tuesday morning, according to FOX 13.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies were investigating a report of a stolen car around 6 a.m. on 316th Ave SE when they located the vehicle and initiated a chase. The pursuit went through Monroe and onto westbound US 2.
Deputies utilized spike strips to stop the stolen vehicle.
Paramedics transported three deputies, the driver, and his passenger to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities have charged the driver with eluding, unlawful possession of a firearm, and second-degree assault.
Following the collision, crews shut down a section of US 2 so authorities could investigate the incident. The area was reopened around noon.
