BREMERTON, WA – According to FOX 13, a driver allegedly fled the scene after hitting a woman in the parking lot of the Happy Laundry located at 4814 WA 303 on Sept. 21.
Judy Gail Smith, 69, was reportedly driving a silver 2007 Chevrolet Uplander when she ran over a 64-year-old woman around 6:15 p.m.
Following the collision, authorities believe Smith briefly stopped before speeding off without rendering aid to the woman she hit.
Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies found Smith’s vehicle abandoned at a residence. They have not yet located Smith.
Kitsap County has issued a $20,000 warrant for Smith’s arrest.
