PARKLAND, WA – The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a hit-and-run driver responsible for a crash at Steele St S and 102nd St S on Tuesday, according to FOX 13.

Jeff Johnson was leaving a job site around 1:40 p.m. when a dark-colored sedan hit him. The collision caused Johnson’s pickup truck to flip and land on its roof.

Johnson had to use his pocketknife to cut off the airbag so he could get out through the window.

Following the collision, the hit-and-run driver did a U-turn and stopped. They then fled the scene once they saw Johnson exit the truck.

Authorities urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
