News: Semi-truck driver rear-ends pickup truck on US 2 in Monroe

MONROE, WA – According to KIRO 7, a semi-truck driver rear-ended a pickup truck on US 2 at mile marker 12, causing 15-20 gallons of herbicide to spill out on the roadway on Wednesday.

Emergency crews used absorbent materials to contain the liquids. The Washington State Patrol and the Department of Ecology with finish the clean up.

Traffic was dverted to Roosevelt Rd for westbound traffic and eastbound traffic was diverted to Fryelands Blvd while crews cleared the scene.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the incident.
