KENT, WA – A driver fatally collided with a pedestrian on 124th Ave SE near SE Kent-Kangley Rd on Friday.
The driver hit the victim, a 35-year-old woman, as she was walking in the roadway around 3:55 a.m.
Rescue crews rendered aid to the woman before pronouncing her dead at the scene around 5:03 a.m.
Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
Emergency crews shut down the area to process the scene.
