SEATTLE, WA – According to KIRO 7, a driver struck and killed a pedestrian on WA 509 SB near S Cloverdale St on Monday.
The driver was in the second of three lanes when they hit the pedestrian as he was crossing east to west around 9:44 p.m. The victim died in the crash.
Following the collision, the car came to rest in the third lane.
Emergency crews shut down the area to process the scene.
Authorities do not believe the driver was impaired.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
