KENT, WA – According to FOX 13, authorities have identified a 16-year-old as the suspect in a deadly wreck that happened on 104th Ave SE near Canyon Ridge Plaza on July 13.
The suspect was allegedly driving a stolen car when he struck another vehicle operated by a 41-year-old man.
Rescue crews transported the 41-year-old man and his 14-year-old girl passenger to an area hospital, where the 41-year-old man died.
Following the collision, the suspect fled the scene.
Authorities identified the suspect as a 16-year-old with help from the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
The suspect was arrested in a different stolen vehicle days after the deadly crash.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged the suspect with second-degree murder, possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding police, vehicular homicide, and hit-and-run death.
