FREDERICKSON, WA – According to FOX 13, two people died after a suspected street racer ran a red light and plowed into another vehicle on Canyon Rd E near 160th St on Wednesday.
A driver was heading west on 160th St and was about to turn onto southbound Canyon Rd when another driver heading north ran a red light and slammed into their vehicle around midnight.
Following the collision, both vehicles caught fire.
Firefighters put out the flames. They found both drivers dead in their vehicles.
Authorities shut down the intersection to process the scene.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
