News: 5 hurt when driver of stolen car collides with another vehicle in Kent

KENT, WA – A police chase ended with a crash that injured five people near WA 167 and S 277th St on Thursday, according to KOMO.

Officers located a stolen Nissan near Central Ave and James St and attempted to perform a traffic stop. The driver refused to pull over and sped off.

The Nissan driver ran a stop light at WA 167 and S 277th St and collided head-on with a Mini Cooper driver who was turning left.

Following the collision, at least one of the vehicles caught on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

Rescue crews transported the 18-year-old driver of the Nissan and his three passengers, ages 12, 13, and 14, and the Mini Cooper driver to an area hospital.

Authorities arrested the driver of the stolen car.
