PORT ORCHARD, WA – According to FOX 13, the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on the 700 block of SE Pine Rd on Wednesday night.
An 18-year-old man was driving a 2007 Subaru Impreza at high speeds when he went airborne and collided with multiple trees around 12 a.m. The Subaru landed on its roof.
First responders extricated the driver and his teen passenger from the vehicle. Rescue crews pronounced the teen dead at the scene and transported the driver to an area hospital.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision and are working to discover what caused it.
