MIDLAND, WA – The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a hit-and-run driver who caused a crash at Golden Given Rd E and 85th St E on May 23, according to FOX 13.
The driver of a black, two-door Mercedes ran a stop sign and slammed into a Lexus SUV around 3:05 a.m.
Rescue crews transported the Lexus driver to an area hospital with serious injuries.
A video from the scene shows a man getting out of the Mercedes following the wreck and yelling at a female passenger to get out of the car so they can flee the scene on foot.
The driver was not the owner of the Mercedes, and a gun was found inside the vehicle.
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them.
