SEATTLE, WA – Seventeen people were hurt when a Sound Transit Express bus slammed into a concrete retaining wall outside a building near 5th Ave and Terrace St on Saturday, according to KOMO.

The bus driver told first responders that the breaks failed, and they swerved into the retaining wall around 7 p.m.

All those aboard the bus were able to exit it without assistance.

Rescue crews transported 11 people to area hospitals following the collision. A 54-year-old man was admitted in critical condition. The remaining ten people, including the bus driver who fractured their hip, were admitted in stable condition.
