News: Driver fatally collides with tree on 272nd St in Kent

KENT, WA – According to KOMO, two people died in a single-vehicle fiery crash on the 2400 block of 272nd St on Saturday.

Witnesses called 911 to report a white sedan had hit a tree at high speeds before catching fire around 7:40 p.m. Bystanders had tried to extricate the people from the sedan but were unable to.

The two occupants of the vehicle were dead by the time officers arrived.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office is looking into the cause of death and the identities of the deceased. The Kent Police Department is investigating the cause of the collision.

Authorities urge anyone with information concerning the incident to call the police.
