SEATTLE, WA — At least one person was injured Friday afternoon due to a hit-and-run collision on Marion Street in downtown Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The incident was reported in the 900 block of the road, near the intersection with 9th Avenue and about two blocks west of Swedish Hospital – First Hill Campus. Officers with the department’s East Precinct were called to the scene at around 2:12 p.m.
A sequence of events leading up to the accident has not been released, but dispatchers indicated a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) that resulted in injuries to at least one person. One of the involved parties also fled the scene before authorities arrived.
As of this writing, the SPD has not issued a description of the fleeing vehicle/suspect and no charges have been reported.
