KENT, WA — Emergency responders rushed a 17-year-old girl to an area hospital Thursday morning after she was hit by a vehicle in Kent, according to KOMO News.
The incident took place in the 23400 block of 116th Avenue Southeast, about half a mile west of Meridian Middle School. First responders were dispatched to the scene sometime before 8:00 a.m.
According to Kent Police, the teen suffered serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian crash and was flown to a hospital in Seattle. No information about her condition has been made public.
Authorities have not released any information about what led up to the wreck, but the driver a 49-year-old woman from Kent, remained at the scene and cooperated with officials. She was not suspected of intoxication.
