THURSTON COUNTY, WA — A crash involving a passenger car and a semi-truck was reported last Thursday, February 1, on Interstate 5 in Tumwater, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes at milepost 101.31, near Tumwater Boulevard. Crews had the area blocked off and traffic re-routed at the exit by 1:52 p.m.
Although the events leading up to the wreck have not been made public, Washington State Patrol troopers, local fire crews and paramedics were responded to the scene, where both occupants of the car appeared to be evaluated.
Both patients were said to have been alert and responsive, but the extent of their injuries was unclear. The driver of the semi was not reported hurt.
