KING COUNTY, WA — One person was hospitalized last Thursday afternoon, February 15, after a collision on Interstate 5 near the the Allentown area of Tukwila, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident unfolded on the southbound highway north of Interurban Avenue South. It was first reported by WSP Trooper Rick Johnson at 3:00 p.m.
Preliminary details indicate the driver suffered a medical emergency just before becoming involved in a single-vehicle accident.
First responders transported the victim to Valley General Hospital for unspecified injuries.
The HOV lane was blocked in the immediate aftermath, but tow crews were en route to the scene to remove the vehicle.
