SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to a collision late Thursday morning in southeast Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The accident happened at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Way South and South Brandon Street and was first reported by SDOT at 11:26 a.m.

Details are limited at this time, but the left northbound and left southbound lanes of Martin Luther King Jr Way S were closed for nearly an hour after the initial report, suggesting a more involved emergency response.

A photo captured at the scene shows multiple Seattle Police Department vehicles responded to the area, where a Sound Metro train appears to be stopped.

By 12:23 p.m. crews had cleared out of the roadway, but motorists were asked to take caution as light signals in the area were flashing yellow.

No injuries have been confirmed at this time.
