SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to a collision early Friday near Pike’s Place Market in downtown Seattle, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The crash happened in the area of 5th Avenue and University Street, just two blocks west of the Interstate 5 onramp. It was first recorded by SDOT shortly before 1:00 a.m.
While the events leading up to the accident remain unclear, the southbound left land and the eastbound right lane were blocked at the intersection. Motorists were asked to approach the scene with extra caution.
