SEATTLE, WA — Firefighters had to extricate one person from the wreckage of a crash Friday night on Interstate 5 in Seattle’s Georgetown area, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
The accident unfolded on the southbound lanes near Exit 161 to South Albro Place and prompted an emergency response some time before 9:09 p.m.

Officials have not specified the cause or nature of the wreck, but the patient was medically evaluated at the scene after being safely removed. They were then transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
No other injuries have been reported.
