News: SPD responds to hit-and-run on S Donovan St in South Park area

SEATTLE, WA — A hit-and-run collision was reported late Thursday afternoon in south Seattle’s South Park neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident took place in the 1000 block of South Donovan Street, near the roundabout with 10th Avenue South. Officers with the department’s Southwest Precinct were dispatched to the area after receiving a call at 4:56 p.m.

No information about the circumstances of the event was immediately available, but officials indicated a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) involving a truck. At least one of the parties fled the scene before authorities arrived.

As of this writing, the SPD has not confirmed any major injuries or released a description of the hit-and-run vehicle.
