News: Injuries reported after hit-and-run on Rainier Ave S in SE Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — At least one person was hurt Tuesday evening due to a hit-and-run collision in Seattle’s Hillman City neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident unfolded at the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Orcas Street. Officers with the department’s South Precinct responded to the scene at around 7:25 p.m.

Few details have been made available, but police dispatchers indicated a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) involving at least one party who fled the scene.

It remains unclear at this time exactly how many people were injured and how badly. The SPD also has not yet released a description of the fleeing suspect and/or vehicle.
