SEATTLE, WA — A crash Wednesday morning in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood left part of northbound Phinney Avenue North blocked, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The accident was reported at the intersection with North 46th Street at around 9:16 a.m.

Local agencies have not released information regarding the cause or nature of the event, but all northbound lanes were shut down as a result.

A photo captured by a SDOT traffic camera shows at least one fire engine responding to the scene. Motorists were asked to use extra caution as they approach the area.

By 10:46 a.m., 1.5 hours later, crews had cleared the accident from the roadway, leaving all lanes open to the public.

It remains unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt and/or had to be taken to a hospital.
