SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle accident was reported Monday afternoon on Interstate 5 in north Seattle’s Green Lake neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The crash happened on the southbound lanes of I-5 at Northeast 65th Street. It was first reported by WSDOT at 12:20 p.m.
Very few details have been made available at this time, but the right general purpose lane and part of the offramp were blocked immediately following the wreck.
By 12:28 p.m., up to two right lanes were closed and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) had responded to the scene. Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area.
