SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle accident was reported Tuesday afternoon on 1st Avenue near Seattle’s Pike Place Market, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The crash happened at the intersection with Pine Street, in the city’s Pike Pine Retail Core. It was first recorded by SDOT at 2:14 p.m.
Authorities have not indicated the circumstances of the event or the types of vehicles involved, but the right northbound lane was shut down in the immediate aftermath. Motorists were asked to approach the area with extra caution.
A photo captured at the scene shows at least one fire engine responding, but it’s unclear at this time whether anyone was seriously injured.
