SEATTLE, WA — At least one person suffered injuries due to a hit-and-run collision Friday evening near the SPD headquarters in downtown Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The accident was reported at the corner of 5th Avenue and James Street, prompting a response from the department’s West Precinct shortly after 6:32 p.m.
Very few details have been made available, but dispatchers indicated a motor vehicle crash (“MVC”) in which one or more of the involved parties fled the scene before authorities arrived.
Injuries were confirmed in the incident, but it’s unclear at this time how many people were hurt and how badly.
The SPD has also not released a description of the hit-and-run vehicle and/or suspect.
