SEATTLE, WA — At least one person was hurt early Tuesday following a crash that caused a delivery truck to spill eggs over State Route 18 near southeast Issaquah, according to King 5.
The accident happened on a stretch of SR-18 at the summit to Tiger Mountain, prompting a closure at around 4:00 a.m.
Preliminary details show the truck was heading westbound when an eastbound vehicle veered past the centerline and sideswiped it. The contact ripped open the truck, causing the egg spill.
Washington State Patrol officials indicated that minor injuries were sustained, but no other information about the injured party has been shared.
The roadway remained closed as crews worked to clear the scene, but was reopened some time after 12:00 p.m., more than 8 hours later.
