KING COUNTY, WA — A vehicle wreck Wednesday morning blocked the HOV lane on Interstate 5 near Tukwila’s Duwamish area, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident was reported on the northbound highway, north of South Boeing Access Road and just south of King County International Airport. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 9:05 a.m.
Officials have not provided details about the cause or nature of the crash, but the northbound HOV lane was closed in the immediate aftermath. Shortly after, Fire Assistance crews were on the scene.
The closure remained in place for at least 25 minutes following the initial report, and by 9:32 a.m., crews had the scene cleared from the roadway.

It remains unclear whether anyone was hurt and/or had to be transported to a hospital.
