SEATTLE, WA — At least two vehicles were involved in a crash Friday afternoon that blocked an intersection in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred at the corner of 1st Avenue South and South Spokane Street, under the West Seattle Bridge and the Spokane Viaduct. It was first recorded by SDOT at 1:12 p.m.
While the circumstances of the event were not immediately shared, the entire intersection was shut down for at least 20 minutes during the emergency response and initial investigation.
A photo captured at the scene shows significant damage to at least two passenger cars. At least one fire engine is seen responding, but officials have not confirmed any major injuries as of this writing.

By 1:32 p.m., crews had cleared the scene from the roadway, restoring the intersection to the public.
