SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported Friday evening following a hit-and-run collision in east Seattle’s Madison Valley neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The incident unfolded at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Way East and East Madison Street. Officers with the department’s East Precinct responded to the scene after receiving a call at around 5:52 p.m.
Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances of the event, but police dispatchers indicated a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) that resulted in unspecified injuries to at least one person. One of the involved parties also fled the scene before first responders arrived.
As of this writing, no information about the fleeing vehicle and/or suspect has been made available.
