The fatal collision took place in the 1700 block of the road, between Bronson Way Northeast and Edmonds Avenue Northeast.

Renton Police said a sedan was speeding when it collided with a school bus, which was carrying two students and two adults, who both sustained minor injuries.

First responders pronounced the sedan’s front seat passenger deceased at the scene. No information indicating the victim’s identity has been shared.

The driver of the sedan and the passenger in the back seat both suffered serious injuries and were transported to an area hospital. RPD officials said investigators are working to determine whether the sedan driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
