THURSTON COUNTY, WA — A rollover crash involving a semi-truck last Saturday morning kept at least part of northbound Interstate 5 blocked near Rochester, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident took place at milepost 92, about four miles north of Old Highway 99 Southwest. It was first recorded by the Washington State Department of Transportation at 4:08 a.m.
Very few details have been provided, but no significant injuries were immediately reported.
The incident prompted a response from both WSP troopers and WSDOT crews, and the left northbound lane was initially blocked.
Starting at about 6:27 a.m., all northbound lanes were shut down for at least two hours as tow crew worked to get the semi-truck upright and clear the vehicle.

Even as both the truck and trailer were righted by 8:24 a.m., the roadway remained closed as crews worked to remove the 39,000-pound pipe that was being hauled by the truck.
