PIERCE COUNTY, WA — One person was taken into custody last Saturday, November 11, following a rollover crash near north Eatonville, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The single-vehicle accident happened on a stretch of State Route 161 at Clear Lake South Road East. It was first reported by Trooper John Dattilo at 7:26 p.m.
Authorities did not immediately specify the cause of the wreck, but the driver, who was arrested for driving under the influence, was transported to an area hospital. Their injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.
All lanes of SR-161 were shut down in both directions as troopers and South Pierce Fire and Rescue crews worked to clear the vehicle and downed power lines from the roadway. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes.
