SEATTLE, WA — Part of southbound Rainier Avenue South in Seattle’s North Beacon Hill neighborhood was blocked Friday evening following a crash, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
Officials said the collision took place just south of South Grand Street. It was first recorded by SDOT at 5:13 p.m.
The circumstances of the accident have not been provided, but crews had the left southbound lane closed during the response and investigation.
Motorists were asked to take extra caution as they neared the scene.

By 6:18 p.m., more than an hour later, the scene had been removed from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
