TACOMA, WA — A vehicle crash had two lanes blocked on southbound Interstate 5 early Thursday near downtown Tacoma, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened at Pacific Avenue and was first reported by Trooper John Dattilo at 3:55 a.m.
While the right and left lanes of southbound I-5 remained open, the center lanes were shut down as crews worked to clear a camper shell that was hit during a crash.
It was unclear how many vehicles were involved, but photos captured at the scene show substantial damage to the piece.
