SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported Tuesday evening following a hit-and-run crash on 2nd Avenue in downtown Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The incident occurred at the intersection with Stewart Street, in an area northeast of Pike Place Market. Officers with the department’s West Precinct responded to the scene after receiving a call at around 5:07 p.m.
While no information about the circumstances of the event has been shared, dispatchers listed the event as a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) in which one party fled the scene before authorities arrived.
At least one person was confirmed to have suffered injuries, but the severity of their condition remains unclear.
As of this writing, the SPD has not released a description of the fleeing vehicle and/or suspect.
