SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to the scene of a rollover crash early Saturday on the West Seattle Bridge after the two involved parties had already fled, according to to West Seattle Blog.

The wreck took place on the bridge’s eastbound offramp to State Route 99 and was first reported by WSB at 2:08 a.m.

Preliminary details, including those provided by one 911 caller, indicate that drivers in a white 2016 Kia Soul and an unspecified rental car with Florida plates were racing each other when they were involved in a wreck that caused the Soul to flip.

Shortly after, everyone involved in the crash appeared to exit their vehicles and leave the scene in a third vehicle before first responders arrived.

It remains unclear whether anyone was injured, but the exit ramp was shut down as tow crews worked to clear the scene.

Seattle Police later learned that the overturned Soul was a not-yet-reported stolen vehicle. Officials noted that the rental vehicle had significant ignition damage, also suggesting it was stolen.

This blog will be updated as more details are made available.
