News: Accident closes part of northbound 4th Ave in downtown Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were dispatched to a collision Friday afternoon near the Sky View Observatory – Columbia Center in downtown Seattle, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The accident happened on a stretch of 4th Avenue between Cherry Street and Columbia Street. It was first reported by SDOT at 2:18 p.m.

While officials have not released a sequence of events, the two left northbound lanes were blocked in the immediate aftermath.


By 2:26 p.m., crews had cleared the involved vehicles off the roadway, leaving all lanes open to the public.

No major injuries have been reported as of this writing.
