TACOMA, WA — A vehicle accident early Sunday closed three left lanes on Interstate 705 near downtown Tacoma, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation – Tacoma.
The crash happened on the northbound lanes of I-705 at milepost 0, near Interstate 5. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 4:04 a.m.
While officials have not disclosed the cause of the wreck or details about the involved parties, by 4:23 a.m., the southbound I-5 offramp to northbound I-705 was shut down.
Washington State Patrol troopers were on the scene conducting an investigation.
No major injuries have been confirmed at this time.
