SEATTLE, WA — A rollover crash last Thursday morning, September 28, on the West Seattle Bridge initially prompted a large emergency response, according to West Seattle Bridge.
The accident occurred on the westbound side of the bridge’s west end, near the “Welcome to West Seattle” sign. It was first reported by WSB at 7:55 a.m.
Local officials have not specified the cause of the wreck, but the driver, who appeared to have been able to exit the overturned vehicle, was listed in stable condition. It was unclear whether the patient had to be transported to a hospital.
Only one Seattle Fire Department engine remained on the emergency call shortly after 8:00 a.m.
A photo captured at the scene shows shows a white covered pickup truck at rest on its driver’s side, along the right shoulder.
Thursday morning’s rollover follows a series of recent crashes on the bridge as the area began seeing wet weather conditions.
