SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were called to a collision late Tuesday morning that closed part of northbound Interstate 5 in south Seattle, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the northbound side of I-5, just south of South Albro Place. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 10:05 a.m.
No details indicating the cause of the wreck have been shared, but the two left lanes were initially blocked.
By the time WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) and the Washington State Patrol arrived minutes later, the entire northbound interstate was shut down.

By 10:45 a.m., about 40 minutes after the initial report, emergency crews had moved the scene to the shoulder, reopening travel lanes.
Motorists were warned of lingering delays as traffic recovered.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was seriously injured.
